Recent Reviews Lincoln Tower Apartments
- Jean Thornton (Edited 5 months ago):
The staff Ive been speaking to was friendly, helpful and informative. As contacts continued the same level of service did also. However kitchen and bath cleaning left much yet to do. First time ever renting an apartment with a stained toilet, dirty shower especially the glass shower door. Both surprising and disappointing. I know this is a mature bldg but all closet doors are hard to open and close. Seems like new door doors are needed after all this time or something needs to be done to more easily open and close them. Otherwise all else is OK

We thought we set up a tour on the correct site but when we did not receive a follow up call confirming our appointment, I reached out and left a message. Kathleen called me back and confirmed the appointment time. She told where I could park and where we would need to go. Once we arrived, she apologized because she did not receive our request for the 5:15pm appointment BUT she was going to still assist us with a tour but also get our information. We were able to check three different 1 room, 1 bathroom apartments. Each of them was different but unique in their own ways. She also showed us the common areas, the upcoming construction and remodeling projects. She stated what we would need to do once an apartment was available and how we could stay in contact. We left feeling welcomed and ready to move in but not until later this year once more units are available. I could see how well maintained the hallways, elevators, common areas and the lobby. I like the safety features. We feel good about Lincoln Tower and are looking forward to future communications and possibly signing a new lease.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Lincoln Tower Apartments has been disappointing enough that I feel others should be warned before moving in. I relocated from Chicago and was promised a professionally cleaned and painted apartment, with all appliances and systems in working order. None of that was true. The dishwasher was broken, heat pump system was broken. And I was without hot water for two weeks in dead cold. the apartment wasn’t properly cleaned or painted, and several maintenance issues were left unresolved. Management has been consistently unresponsive. Any time you ask a question, the answer is always “we’ll ask Jay” — but Jay never replies or follows up. No one takes responsibility for anything. I was also told I’d receive a $300 rent discount if I renewed my lease. There was no clear deadline communicated, and when I signed just one day late (due to technical issues with their system), they refused to honor the discount — even after I explained the situation. The train noise is constant and disruptive. I requested a transfer to a quieter or better apartment over five months ago, and despite multiple follow-ups, I was never offered anything reasonable. Other ongoing issues: 1. Persistent weed smell in the hallways 2. Frequent elevator breakdowns 3. Only one maintenance person for the entire building, and he’s rarely available 4. I’ve been waiting 8 months for a parking spot — still nothing It’s clear the property is more focused on collecting rent than providing livable housing or decent customer service. Communication is poor, maintenance is slow, and you’re left to fend for yourself when problems arise. I regret signing a lease here. Hopefully this review helps someone else make a more informed decision.

Lincoln Towers is a great place for a new young professional to live. Tour was great, Kathleen and Pete couldn't have been nicer. Active foyer with tenants eating popcorn on a Friday afternoon/evening. A place that felt like a good place to want to live. Work out room was large and expansive, rec space was nice and updates are in the work for the entire building. Excited to move my adult son in soon.

I love living in this apartment complex! I’ve been here for a long time and have had wonderful neighbors. It truly feels like home. The building is safe, and the location is very convenient. The management team and our building manager have made significant improvements, enhancing the overall living experience. Their efforts have truly made this a better place to live.

I like the location. As far as the apartment, I think I am getting a good deal for the value of the building, considering its location is within a historical area. The staff was helpful upon the leasing and moving in process. It's too early for me to give an in depth constructive criticism. I would say that they need to improve on providing parking for its residents within the vicinity of the complex instead of paying parking in another area....

The AC isn't working in my unit since last 3 months and despite multiple maintenance requests in web portal, direct emails to the property manager and in-person visits to the leasing office, they're still not fixing it. The community manager keeps saying 'I don't know when it's going to be done, it's not in my hands'. This has been extremely frustrating, especially during peak summer with occasional heat warnings. The apartment has other issues as well if you're considering moving here, the train sound is too loud, parking is limited and the elevators malfunction frequently.
